Hello Writers,

Summer is in full swing over here meaning all the humans are home all the time, family’s in to visit, bags are getting packed, and, as a result, all my routines have run away. All this is to say, look closely at this month’s schedule because there has been some movement of meeting and a couple of meetings are missing. This month there will be no Story Club recap (we will make up all recaps needed in the Fall), and there is no Social Saturday this month. Otherwise, you will find

  • a bunch of two hour write ins

  • a bunch of one hour write ins

  • a practicing poets club meeting

  • our regularly scheduled Story Club meeting

  • writing practice, and

  • a FREE FOR ALL Writing Prompt Party

If you are subscribed to the Stop Writing Alone Google Calendar (paid subscribers can Direct Message me with the email address they want to connect to the calendar), your upcoming events looks like this:

If you are looking for the traditional colorful chaos I deliver each month, keep on scrolling!

Writing Prompt Parties are (at least) an hour of fun where we chat, I share a writing prompt, and then I set a timer so we can all write a really fast, messy, first draft piece of flash fiction that we then READ ALOUD to each other. It sounds terrifying, but I promise it will inspireyou and your writing in more ways than you can count! It’s the number one meeting type I recommend for new-to-me writers! Please consider joining us when your schedule allows, and make sure to share this news with a writer who you think would love to party!
