Hey Writers,
When I first started making these monthly calendars it was inevitable, month after month, there would be at least one typo in the thing that required me to stumble back in and explain myself and my intentions. While I feel like that has been getting better, this month came at me from a couple of different directions resulting in me stumbling back in here to bring some clarity to the end of the month.
What the End of the Month Looks Like
First of all, the original pdf calendar of the month was incomplete. Even though the Stop Writing Alone Google Calendar was filled through the end of May, for some reason, the pdf I shared here on Substack stopped at the 19th. So, without further adieu, this is what the rest of May in Stop Writing Alone looks like!
Where’s Story Club Lesson 2?
Unfortunately, I need to delay our 27 Essential Principles of Story Lesson 2/Finding Nemo discussion until next month. However, I do have I cool new find to share with you while you wait — the author of our textbook, Daniel Joshua Rubin, has a free story course on his website called

I haven’t gotten started checking it out yet, but thought it might help soften the blow of the news of this delay.
Other Changes
Paid subscribers may have already noticed the changes on our Google Calendar, but I did want to point out that in addition to the loss of the May Story Club discussion, there were two other late-May schedule changes:
there is no 8pm write-in this Wednesday, May 20th, and
there is no 10am-12pm Type & Talk on May 26th.
I hope I still get to see you, write with you, and share our writing journeys together in all the other meetings still available this month and beyond.
