What is Writing Practice?
Based on Natalie Goldberg’s teaching through her books, as well as her courses, Nicole brings Writing Practice to Stop Writing Alone by providing a time and space for writers to do a 3-5 silent sitting meditation, followed by writing and reading aloud free writes on pre-selected topics of the day. In this practice attendees will meet themselves on the page, learn to attune their listening, and delve into specificity in their writing. According to Natalie Goldberg,
Goldberg sees writing as a practice that helps writers comprehend the value of their lives.
While Natalie Goldberg writes about and discusses her Writing Practice in nearly all of her books, it was first explored in her book Writing Down the Bones.
