No one ever accused me of being quick. In elementary school, while copying notes, the teacher (and the whole class) would have to wait for me — just me — to finish copying one section before they could move on. All eyes on me, waiting. That’s what this calendar of events felt like this month. I’ll say what I have said so, so many times before, “Sorry! I’m trying!”
Anyway, now that it’s finally here, I am happy to say that this is the most ambitious month-long community calendar for the Stop Writing Alone Substack community to date! I hope you can join me for all of these coworking sessions and chats as we head into the “Back to _____!” Season of your choice. My family’s Back to School, I’m Back to Creating & Connecting, what about you?

What Are The “Open to All Writers” Events This Month?
This month there are four meetings open to all writers:
Writing Practice modeled after Natalie Goldberg’s practice of pairing mediation with topical writing to help build our writer mind
Two Write-Ins that are hour long co-wroking sessions to help you get your words on the page WITHOUT any excuses!
Writing Prompt Party to inspire to write brand new fiction and connect with the fiction writing community using a random prompt from my collection.
I’m hoping once you join us and see how valuable these experiences are for yourself, you will understand why joining the paid subscription is worth your while.
If you are not yet a paid subscriber, the investment is either $15/month, or $150/year (that gives you two months for free!). Here are some of the reasons why I think you should make this investment today:
