Shonda Rhimes in an American author, television screenwriter, showrunner, and producer. Although I had come to know the name Shonda Rhimes as the popularity of her shows Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal grew, my first official introduction to her came in 2015 through her book, Year of Yes. Since that dose of inspiration I checked out her shows Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder and was dragged into the drama hook, line and sinker. However, it was only this month that I first tried out an episode of her longest running bit of television drama, Grey’s Anatomy. Shonda has done it again. I am in for the long haul (I’m up to season 6 already in my binge watch!). Due to this recent obsession, my choice for MasterClass Monday inspiration was clear. Since many writers are looking ahead to to November and NaNoWriMo to draft a new novel-length project, I thought now would be a perfect time to get some advice on Finding an idea to write about!
