I was sitting here at my desk while my little nephew naps looking over some of my stuff for Monday’s Story Club meeting and something hit me: I haven’t had my monthly Writing Prompt Party. And then I thought, Holy crap. Is it tonight?
It is! 8:30pm Eastern.
How Does It Work?
We meet up on Zoom, we chat a bit, and then I share a writing prompt, set a timer and we all write whatever we can to the prompt in 15 minutes. When the timer goes off, we bravely read aloud our first draft fiction. It is SO MUCH FUN!
I will say, I can not promise that I will be hive-free. With all of the medicine I am on, the skin is still throwing its hissy fit (though we are closer to the pouting in the corner with arms folded and muttering various complaints, than yesterday’s full blown screaming tantrum), but I am feeling a lot better, so I can’t think of any reason why I can’t have some with fiction tonight.
I hope you’ll be able to join me.
This is a meeting for Paid Subscribers, but remember that when you join Stop Writing Alone on Substack, you always get that first week free to try it out, so you could use that option now to try it out and see if we make a good fit.
