I have switched to "everything" notebooks. I used to have a separate one for PUSH but would be inconsistent with keeping all my notes in there. I have an at home everything notebook and then I have one that I carry around in my bag. I do keep notes on my phone in the Google KEEP app which is always backed up and I can turn into a doc with one click.

I do have a random notebook that I write in when I don't want to put it in the everything at home notebook. There is no system for this one!

I have been thinking a lot about notebooks lately since I moved and found all the notebooks I have and they gathered together. I am working through transcribing them so I can find the stories that I want to polish and submit.

I did start a notebook for my JACK project but tend to just make notes in the comments in the manuscript doc now.

I do like the idea of a "textbook" notebook where all the notes I take from a class would be in there. I have gotten into the habit of opening a Google doc when I am in an online class and taking notes and putting my writing from there in the one file. I do have a folder that specifically is labeled by a teacher's name as well.

So I guess my thinking goes into the notebooks and then I organize in my drive.

I love that teacher name folder idea. I have never been a digital note taker, but that could work for the other types of files and things that collect in these courses!

The “everything” notebook is super helpful. My mom used to have them all the time. I thought t was leaning mostly in that direction myself until I had this epiphany of mental categories this week!
