I am currently with an editor but I feel like I may need to add more content. It's sci-fi romance related, and I believe those manuscripts are at least 75,000 words. lol Any advice?

I have often heard that sci-fi, and I think fantasy too, should err on the side of that 75K., but, if it is a debut, not to go too far above with your first go around. I'm not sure if that advice is still the current trend, but here is a look at some word counts in the genre https://wordcounters.com/word-count/fantasy-books/

If your editor is a developmental editor, then I think they would be in the best position to give you advice on what part of the story you can use to find those words!

But how exciting to already have so many and already be in editor's hands -- congratulations!!

We’re doing some unexpectedly intense repair on a bathroom, so the writing happens at night. Last night there were two pages of the letter “j” before I woke up and lifted my finger.

OMG, your pages of "j" have me cracking up!!

My first couple of NaNos were mostly nighttime writing, but I do think if I tried that now it would be nothing but sleepy alphabet pages!

i’m at 18,387. I wrote 3842 words so far today and I’m trying to decide whether I want to add more or do something else.

What did you decide? The suspense is killing us!

oh, it wasn’t that exciting! I tried playing Diablo IV for a little while but that wasn’t really working out for me so I headed off to bed and read until I passed out. Four write-ins, and almost 6 hours of writing did me in. 😂

Oh yes! That was the night I passed out on the couch unexpectedly. It made for a very hectic Thursday morning, but oh! what a wonderful sleep!
