[Happy Campers Interview] Servete Kolar | Writing for Friends, Fun, and Fantasy

This episode is part of the Happy Campers Interview series.

Since April 2020, Nicole Rivera has been hosting an online writing community intensive called the Happy Campers Club. Now Nicole is writing the Stop Writing Alone book about all of her experience with writing community, and wanted to the perspective from the members in the club. This is one interview toward that end.

Servete Kolar is a fellow writer from Nicole’s hometown Staten Island, NY. Servete, or Sevey, and Nicole met through the Staten Island Writers Meetup group and have continued their connection in community through Stop Writing Alone. Sevey writes fantasy in between her obligations to her students with special needs. In this episode Sevey demonstrates again and again all the work it takes to show up for yourself through your writing.

Stop Writing Alone
Stop Writing Alone
Stop Writing Alone is a weekly show for writers looking for a writing community. In each episode listeners will learn where and how they can find, or create, their own writing community while joining one such community with Stop Writing Alone. The show will provide inspiration, writing activities, critique, and lessons from “distant teachers” in the writing world via their writings, online presence, and interviews. The show is written and hosted by Nicole Rivera, co-organizer of a local writing group, writer, and Pitch Wars 2016 mentee.
